David Morales launches campaign for mayor of Providence
“When young people feel supported by counselors, bilingual teachers, and safe community spaces, they thrive, and that strengthens our entire city,” said Morales. He further emphasized the importance of working closely with immigrant communities, particularly Providence’s Latino population. He pledged to ensure that immigrant residents feel protected and included, improve communication during immigration enforcement actions, collaborate with local organizations that provide legal and social services, and maintain a fully bilingual campaign and future administration. “It is essential that the Latino community in Providence is not only informed, but also part of the decision-making process,” he stated.
