MEET DAVID
Having been raised by a single mother who had to work multiple jobs to make ends meet, David understands the struggles that working people and families experience because he’s lived through it himself.
As the youngest Latino ever elected to a state legislature, David has been delivering progress for our community, inside and outside of the State House. From capping prescription drug costs to banning rental application fees, David works for the people, not corporations!
Building a Providence all our neighbors can afford
Today, Providence is the least affordable city in America for renters. Far too many of our neighbors are being priced out. At the same time, our public schools are understaffed, the presence of ICE continues to grow, and our city services are falling behind.
As Mayor, David will help make Providence a city all our neighbors can afford and feel safe calling home.

As Mayor of Providence, David Morales will:
Cap annual rent hikes at 4% to keep our neighbors safely housed
Build affordable homes across Providence by transforming vacant buildings and lots
Demand that corporate polluters near the Port of Providence contribute more to our city services and public schools
Introduce a City Budget that prioritizes street sweeping, stormwater infrastructure upgrades, and basic road repairs
And, just like he’s done as a State Representative, David will stand up for our immigrant community and make Providence a city where everyone feels safe!
Addressing the issues
Our campaign is for the people, powered by the people.
Your support makes this possible.
As Mayor, David will cap rent hikes, build affordable homes on vacant lots, tax industrial polluters to fund our public schools, and protect our immigrant neighbors from the terror of ICE.
As a grassroots campaign that proudly rejects Corporate PAC money, we depend on neighbors like you to support our movement. Together, let's build a Providence for ALL!
