Former State Rep. Aaron Regunberg Endorses David Morales for Mayor of Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI – Former State Rep. Aaron Regunberg (District 4 - East Side) has endorsed David Morales for Mayor of Providence. Aaron cited David’s commitment to fighting for working people, his progressive values, and his support for Rent Stabilization as reasons for his endorsement.

“I'm proud to endorse David Morales because we deserve a city government that works for all of us, not just the corporate developers and donors,” said Regunberg. “We deserve a mayor who will take on the special interests and sign rent stabilization into law. As a former state representative, I know what it takes to bring people together to actually win real progressive change. David’s been able to do that at the State House, and I believe in his ability to do the same for Providence.”

In the state legislature, he led the passage of laws to establish paid sick leave and increases to our minimum wage.
