Reclaim Rhode Island announces endorsement of David Morales

PROVIDENCE, RI — Reclaim RI, a leading progressive and tenants rights organization in the state, announced their support of Rep. David Morales’s campaign for Mayor of Providence. Citing his long history of fighting for tenants and his support for rent stabilization, Reclaim has identified David as the leader Providence needs right now.

“At a time when Providence residents are being squeezed by the affordability crisis and remain threatened by Trump’s deportation machine, our city needs a fighter. Someone who won’t bend to developers but will fight for all of us. David has been that fighter in the State House and Reclaim RI can’t wait for him to bring that fight to the Mayor’s Office,” says Daniel Denvir, Reclaim RI co-chair.

"We have a strong track record of winning elections across Rhode Island. Most recently, last fall, we deployed an army of canvassers to help progressive champion Jill Davidson decisively win her race for Ward 2. We look forward to helping the Morales campaign build a field operation unlike anything this city has ever seen—and electing him our next mayor."
